Will My Mask Fog Up?

Fogging

The mask does prevent fogging with the introduction of fresh air, but it cannot negate the science of condensation, especially in waters 18°C or less. The Tribord website (which our sports masks are modelled off) states “The exclusive anti-fogging system through respiratory ventilation performs optimally in water ≥ 18°C.” The greater the temperature difference between the hot air exiting your mouth and the water outside the mask, the greater the likelihood of condensation.

To help with fogging, we recommend to use an anti-fog solution. We personally use baby shampoo. Before each use simply apply 2 drops of shampoo to the inside of the viewing chamber and then rub in gently. Before entering the water quickly submerge the mask in the water to remove any excess, then put the mask on.
