How Does A Full Face Snorkel Mask Work?

How Does It Work

When the wearer inhales with the one-way snorkel above water, air is drawn in across the viewing chamber, and into the breathing chamber via pair of one-way valves. The introduction of fresh air, and separate chambers prevent the viewing chamber from fogging up. The wearer is able to breath through their nose or mouth just as normal. Exhaling can be performed at any time, and CO2 will escape the mask via single one-way valve located around the mask, and out the top of the snorkel.

To ensure that water does not enter via the snorkel, the mask is equipped with a stopper ball mechanism that plugs the top of the snorkel when immersed in water. If water happens to get into the mask, or after a dive, simply raise your chin above water and the water will freely flow out of the exit chamber located at the bottom of the mask.
